Nursing Advisory Board

The Nursing Advisory Board’s Purpose:

Nursing at Carthage is dedicated to being responsive to the dynamic healthcare environment.

  • The Department of Nursing Advisory Board facilitates communications and collaboration with stakeholders to foster excellence in nursing education and in promoting the health and quality of life of the citizens of Kenosha, Racine, and beyond.
  • This Board provides insight into healthcare and employment trends affecting nursing education. It also assists in the evaluation of program effectiveness, program advocacy and promotion, and provides overall support for the nursing program.
  • The Board works in an advisory capacity with no administrative, management or policy making authority. The function of the Board is to provide support and guidance to the nursing program, as well as practice-relevant insight into current developments and trends in the healthcare environment. This insight is crucial to maximize the ability of our graduates to provide exceptional care to diverse populations of patients in a wide variety of practice settings.
  • The Board meets once per semester. The Board officers recommend for the development of short and long-term programing goals, the evaluation of existing and future curriculum, and the strengthening of public relations.
